* UPDATE *
Geeze...I just dodged a bullet. All those red flags weren't shouting out at me for nothing.
I sent a very professional and warm email that I could not accept them in care due to the hours they need. How I stressed in our interview that as long as they stay within my hours open then I can accept their daughter into my program. I also reiterated that my daycare is more structured and that their hours vary from 11 hour days to 1/2 days and that this would disrupt our program and be difficult for their child to transition to daycare.
DCD wrote back how he disagrees with my thinking. (As this is his first child, I'm sure he has ALL the answers, the fact that I've run a daycare for years and have 3 kids of my own surely means squat!) and that he's certain children who only attend daycare for 1 day a week or get picked up early aren't in therapy and are functioning contributing adults to society!
I wrote a final email that it is all moot as the hours you need don't mesh with my opening hours. Can you say someone is a little miffed at not getting what they want!
Seriously?? I'm so glad I listened to my gut. They seem sneaky and acted as I was their personal babysitter/nanny with their requests and got so miffed when I turned them down.
Bye-Bye..![]()
