Hopefully things are going to change for the better

Had my 4 yo dcb have his last day on Fri. I have all girls except him so I was unsure about the dynamics and also how my daughter would fair (she and he had been fighting tons lately). Today has been so nice. Very cooperative bunch, very easy morning (knock on wood). It wasn't like he was a problem or anything (except his being an extremely picky eater which influenced the others) but his being gone has shifted things positively. I have a few older kids 3-4 yo's and they seemed to compete with each other to be friends and exclude others (which we have been working hard on) saw none of that so far today. My daughter was also a bit jealous of this dcb's friendship with another girl as it had just been the 2 of them (dcb and dd) for the longest time and dd couldn't handle it. This led to hitting on my dd's part out of frustration. Here's hoping the headache is gone!
