    Easter crafy/ activities ideas

Hello all, I'm just now planning my easter craft (I know late huh?). I've been sick with the flu and totally out of it. I'm just now feeling better. But this leaves me with today and tomorrow anyone have cute easter crafts / activities for the kids? My group ranges from 12mths to 2.5 yo.

    Thanks!

We have done a few pictures using stickers, Easter colours and foam Easter bunnies. I also bought these bunnie paper glasses from dollarama and they decorated them, they don't fit them tho, too big lol.

Today I'm going to bake some hard boiled eggs and while they are still warm they are going to colour them. I will hold the warm/hot egg for them though.

We made jello in egg moulds on Monday and will eat them today for snack. I may make some more hard boiled ones and dye them for tomorrow's lunch.

Oh and I forgot....we made some salt dough clay eggs that they are going to paint. They didn't bake that nice though

So I decided to do some of our easter things today and some tomorrow......we did the crayon eggs and painted the clay eggs this morning. They decorated their easter bags so I could put their treats in them and they decorated their paper baskets for tomorrows egg hunt. I have the hard boiled eggs dying now and will have those tomorrow. I forgot it's also pj day here tomorrow so it will be a relaxed day with a movie after the egg hunt.

If you have those plastic fillable eggs on hand, we painted with those, both by stamping them (only makes circles, but we did pastel colors and pretended it was eastery), and roll-painted (the marbles-in-the-box type). My sons also got some egg chalk last weekend that we're going to use on paper, amd I also am hoping to do some homemade crayons, though that may have to wait.

Cut out large egg shapes on heavy weight paper, help them stick strips of painter's tape or masking tape across it. Then they paint the paper - with brush, fingerpaint, whatever. After it is dry remove the tape, revealing the white that was covered by the tape. It will look like a decorated easter egg. Could also add stickers and stuff afterwards too. I can see this doable for a wide range of ages.

this website has the same idea, except they used wet chalk:

Thanks everyone! I have a new dcb that cries all day and unfortunately is affecting everyone I want to cry today. We tried to paint egg cut out and I tried to get her involved and she screamed the whole time. I will try another one tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
