    Bizarre Sleeping positions!

I just went to check on my new dcb, 15 months, who screamed though the entire nap time on his first day last week, and today he's actually fallen asleep, but it's like he was sitting up in the playpen, and then fell forward against the side of the playpen and fell asleep! He's essentially sitting up, with his faced squashed against the mesh side of the playpen, sound asleep!

He's got to be uncomfortable, and I really want to go in and lay him down, but I know he'll wake up, and probably won't go back to sleep.

It's hilarious! He's going to have the mesh pattern all over his face when he gets up...

Oh, the strange ways kids sleep!

LOL...he likely isn't uncomfortable because if he was then he would correct himself or wake up crying. I would just leave him. If he wakes with soreness in his neck or face then this is how he will learn. Moving him will result in his reliance on you to comfort himself. I had a little guy sleep sat up with his head hanging but he got over it after a few weeks. I just lay him down when I put him for nap and eventually he stopped sitting up once he learned that I wasn't going to come in when he screamed.
