    Kid conversations

So after a busy weekend, 2 busy daycare days, 4 sick kids (including my own 2), I've finally caught the bug. We're relaxing today and watching a movie while I try to recoup.

Here is a conversation between my sons and dcg while watching:

    child 1: "look it's a crab"
child 2: "no it's an octopus"
Child 1: "Oh! It's an octopus"
    Child 3: "It's a loctopus"
    Child 2 "IT'S AN OCTOPUS!"
    (meanwhile, scene is long over)
    Child 1: "Look a fish" (it's a starfish)

... and cue entire conversation to restart. Kids are hilarious.

This was the conversation that I had with my almost 2.5 year old after dinner last night:

DS: *points to older brothers sunflower plant* I am going to BREAK the tree
Me: That's not nice. Why would you do that?
DS: Because I am the Lorax, if you please.

A 2 year olds perception of the movie.

Conversation between 2 four year olds today at lunch time:

    Child 1: 2 plus 2 is 4
    Child 2: No, 2 plus 2 is 22!
Me: Actually, 2 plus 2 IS 4 (holding up fingers to show how they add together)
Child 2: Yeah, but actually it is 22
    Me: *sigh* :-)

Haha, thanks for sharing ladies, I love it when these kinds of conversations happen. I have a hilarious 3 year old who makes me laugh almost daily and I'm going to miss her so much in Sept. when she goes off to JK. My favourite thing she says is when she's having a really good day - "I LOVE this DAY, THIS is the BEST day EVER!!!!" That just makes my day a little better every time she says it.

Picture lunch time and I'm trying to clean up the mess. All of the kiddos decide that they absolutely need to talk to me at the exact same time. "I'm not home now- I'm on vacation". Total silence (Ahhhh), a few puzzled looks and then lots of giggles. (They're used to me by now. Lol.) 15 minutes later dcg comes up to me... "Are you home yet?" Too cute.

If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
