under the current day nurseries act you may not care for more than 5 children under the age of 10 at one time not including your own children, sadly grandchildren count. The proposed changes are different but nothing has been passed so we have to follow the old rules for now

Right now, that's correct about children not counting after the age of 10. Of course, if Bill 10 goes through without amendments, that will change to 13. You do not have to count your own children of any age right now. If bill 10 passes, then you have to count them in your ratio until the age of 6. Also, if the bill passes, you will be limited to 2 children under 2 yrs and your children count in that as well. Yes, your grandchildren count in the ratio, now and in the future. Right now, it's only YOUR biological children who don't count.
