Although I do understand that it can be tough to find alternate care, that is why I ensure that a family does not have "no other options". It's a fact of life that I am going to have those type of emergency situations. I try my absolute best not to close down, but if I am puking my guts out, or have been up literally ALL night because my kids are doing the same, then I cannot provide YOUR baby proper care. Same goes for viruses spreading through the daycare. If I am shutting down at all, it is for your benefit as well as my family's.
I agree that it's the trade-off a parent makes when they choose home childcare over a centre.
