    Unhappy Will open a Dayhome

Hi everyone! I will open a Dayhome on January 2015, when should I start advertising? I am in SE Calgary and plan to put ads in the community newsletter & Kijiji. Also, my Own kids are ages 1 & 2.5 yr old, what is the best age range I should accept if given a chance to choose. Hoping for your advice. Happy Thanksgiving!

    Start advertising yesterday.

Some people are wary of newly opened day cares as they have no history for reliability etc. Plus, we all have spells where a vacancy will sit empty for longer than normal. Allow a full year to get all places taken with good quality clients who fit your business.

I have an open spot, and the people who email me are looking for January & Feb, so start advertising as soon as you can!

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
