Just wanting to complain....

It's a grey, blah, extremely foggy morning. I have a sinus headache/ lingering migraine that just won't go away. I still have a cough, congested chest and stuffy nose. This weather also seems to affect the arthritis in my back and hips. I went to bed late so I'm incredibly tired....stupid me!! 2 of the 3 boys here today still have runny noses and gross sneezes. 1 is sooo whiny, he's having a quick nap right now though. I had plans to bake banana bread this morning but not sure that will be happening now. I'm so glad I made daycare meals yesterday!!! I made a homemade chicken noodle soup and I think that will be perfect for lunch today.

Is everyone's Monday blah? I hope not!

I hear ya. My early kid got dropped off and the first thing his mom said was "I'm sorry". He started getting molars this weekend and he's tired and grumpy.
It's supposed to get really warm today though. So that's something to look forward to.

I'm a bit jealous that I didn't think of making anything to eat ahead of time. Although I wasn't having a great day yesterday either.
I'm remodeling the playroom again, hopefully the last time for a while. So that's a little exciting. Although I feel silly for making myself an extra project when I already have so many other things that need finishing.

I usually make my meals on Sunday so the week is easier. I have enough soup for 2-3 meals and I cooked a ham that will also do 2-3 meals. Just gotta pair it with different sides....pancakes or waffles, rice, buttered bread etc. I also did my veggie and fruit prep yesterday instead of this morning which I'm so glad I did!

I wish I was doing playroom renovating. I want to paint and hang another huge cork board. Saving up to buy a large play kitchen for Christmas. The one I have now is big but boring looking lol

I am with you !! Although 2 of my dck cancelled due to sickness and I have 2!! We have blown thru our morning and I just turned caillou on !!! I'm sitting here and my sinuses are acting up too so I'm so dizzy ! Every time I get up I'm standing waiting until the playroom settles !! I had vertigo for 4 months once so I hope it's not that and just sinuses ! I'm achy and tired !! I finished my playroom and I love it !! I painted it all a beautiful gray and all the moulding is white ! So crisp !! I'm doing laundry and I'm wanting to fall apart on the couch but my playroom looks lovely !! On the weekend I exchanged all the toys and scrubbed thru so today I can relax !!
Very smart to cook most of your meals 5 lm !! I have my meals planned but not prepared . I've decided to go back to eating no wheat , sugar or dairy . I did it for a year and felt fab !!! But I love chocolate !!!! But I'm tired of feeling sluggish ! I have so much going on with family right now and for me anxiety equals cleaning/organizing and I'm not kidding when I say I'm redoing my reorganizing !!! Ugh I'm driving my dh insane !!!
He was off for a week and I kept us incredibly busy until I sat down on the couch last night and dh brought me my blanket ( I washed and organized all the linen closet) it was so warm !!! And I was done !!
Today I feel like a wet noodle and just as bright !!

I'm so envious of all your painting and playroom redo's lol. Our playrooms sound similiar secondtimearound but I'm sure yours is nicer!! (new is always nicer lol) I love grey but mine is a light one. I have the colourful mats and colourful shelves but I am wanting to go a more solid neutral colour/theme. It looks fine but it looks like a daycare LOL. I like more modern and classy and I've been seeing a lot more things that I could buy that would allow me this look. However, it's not cheap!! I will keep saving though and maybe next summer I will do it on my holidays.

The kids loved the soup....welll to be honest, I was too tired to deal with the soup liquid mess so I just gave them the noodles, veggies and chicken LOL. They had a treat, pumpkin pie for dessert and are now tucked in bed snoring!!

I'm with you on the classy 5 lm !!! My playroom looked more like caillou's house than mine !! So that is why I am redoing !! I have the colourful matts as well but right now my walls are bare !! And I love it !! I bought white shelves as I was going to copy a pintrest idea , they put the white shelves on the wall and painted a fluffy white cloud over it !!! Looks adorable but I'm so happy with the nice plain gray walls !!
I've made my life very busy !! My mom was very ill at my age and I think somewhere I took her advice of live well you can to the extreme !! ( not surprisingly !!)
I'm sorry about your back !! That really effects everything !!! I would love to see your dayhome room !! I have been looking at pintrest playrooms and wow !!!! So would like to redo my theme as well but soo much money went into those floor mats !! I have gone into a maple wood ( not my fav) but it looks like a preschool room , if I could do it all over and money was no object I think I would do a earthy , natural with dark chocolate and cream and black as the colours ! I saw the cutest wooden flat owls and imagined a giant dark chocolate tree painted on a cream wall with them !! Sigh !!!

I feel blah today too. I had a new baby start today and he has been a breeze. Well until sleeptime! He cried for a few minutes then fell asleep then one of the other kids started yelling my my name at 1:50 so the new on woke up! I went down and he had pooped so I am not sure if the yelling or the poop woke him. He is now crying. Guess I have to get them up!

Secondtimearound.... wall decals are my favourite! I change them when I get bored or for a new theme. Some have been on the wall since I opened though. I love to redo things as I get bored easily! I hate a cluttered look so I'm always looking for new ways to display the playroom toys and to keep the storage ones tidy!

Jodaycare, I feel ya! I had a child who would poop an hour into naptime every day. Once I changed him he would thankfully go back in his playpen quietly for the remainder of naptime though. Hope your afternoon is better!
