    what do you mean about the candles??? I use tea lights in the little tea light holders that you can get for 3 dollars at ikea. What I was told from the fire marshal was that the candle has to be enclosed, so that if it falls it won't start a fire.

    I think daycaremom9's comment stating "We're not allowed to use candles either." was in direct response to yours where you said this...with no mention that candles = tea lights, which are very different in terms of safety.

    I was responding to the use of candles. I'm not really sure how licensing would feel about tea lights.

    Power Outage

    Ontario Hydro is planning to upgrade in our area. I was just informed that they plan to shut off the power for the whole day on November 12. I will definitely inform the parents, but I'm not sure if I should even open that day. Any suggestions??

    I'm not with an agency, and under my insurance rider, as log as the candles are encased , then it is not a problem
