    Poppy Pin: Ouch!

So, 3 year old daycare child arrives with poppy on...so meant to take it off right away, but drop off chaos (fun chaos ) ensued. Within 5 minutes..."where's your Poppy Jane?" "Dunno". Pop my crawler in the booster, pop the rest into circle time with my 9 year old reading...and frantic search for poppy and pin. Guess what...my toe found the pin...ouch!
    Children are great imitators.
So give them something great to imitate.

I actually have in my contract that any items that could cause harm to any child (jewelry, necklaces, hair accessories with small pieces etc) are not to be worn to daycare. I would classify a poppy in that category. sigh...some parents just don't think

What do you do about hair clips? I have 1 child who wears them as her mom is growing her hair. She is pretty good about keeping them in but sometimes they come out

I tell them to use the little elastics (like for braces). the kids have a harder time pulling them out
