    I recommend you explain your absence from the workforce briefly but also consider creating a job you can put on the resume. This could be simply child-minding or car washing, just something you can set up as a one person job that helps you look that bit more employable. of course, try and do that job if you can! On a more structured recommendation consider skipping the chronological format. Also be sure to customise your resume for each job.
