Lol if you are dairy free too then it's a no go. Too much work...that's why I don't make it!

It's not that it's healthier but the pasta that the child is eating just has some added protein in it from soaking up the milk. So it's more filling than pasta with water. For a child that doesn't eat much then some extra milk in there can help. It also makes the mac and cheese more cheesy as you are not just adding milk and cheese at the end...it's there from the start.
