You can still do one receipt but show the grand total broken down for so much per child. Tell her you cannot alter what she paid for each child and that's that. Give her the receipt and that's it. If she wants to lie to CRA that is her problem not yours. Do things on your end the proper way and she can do what she wants on her end.

I have had a lot of siblings over the years. I do my own receipts (word document). I fill out all the families info, all my info, their grand total paid plus break I'd down for each child at the bottom. I find this way easier for me as there is less paper plus with the grand total already there it's easier for me to total up. Less paper means less chances family can loose receipts and being word doc can easily be reprinted if needed.

I'm not saying it's right it wrong, just that is what it says online. I've had siblings in the past and I never knew they needed to be separate so I only gave one receipt too. Thankfully I wasn't audited!

It says to put SIN on as well but I have spoke to my accountant about this and I don't write it on the receipts. Accountants might give different advice which is why I suggested the OP should speak to hers because if she's ever audited it will be the accountant helping her with the process (at least they should be!)

I don't give my SIN number out. If it turns out they get audited and need it, I will give it at that time.

I have always done one receipt, but it is broken down each month to show what each sibling paid separately, and the annual totals for each child are separated at the bottom. Even when my kids were at the YMCA daycares, they put both kids on one receipt, but just separated the totals for each child.

I just wanted to ask you something regarding us giving receipts. Are we suppose to write down our SIN number for the families.... I asked my accountant as well and he said that it isn't needed....I just buy the receipt booklet from staples or the dollar store fill it out and give it to the parents...is that okay
