I (for the most part) believe in vaccinations (chicken pox and HPV I am still on the fence about) My kids are vaccinated, and I will not allow nonvaccinated kids in my care. I remember my younger sister Had Whooping cough when she was 6, she was hospitalized for a goos two weeks, and for the first while in an oxygen tent, it was very scary. She was not vaccinated because my mother just didn't think about it, my younger siblings are much younger, and there are 4 of us older siblings, all vaccinated, never had any issues. My mother just assumed that if everyone else is vaccinated, then my sister (and brother, twins) would not be in danger of catching anything. But she learned the hard way, that we are a very global world now, and we really don't know what we are coming in contact with everyday.
