Having the same problem. To read messages I always click on new on the far left to see what has been posted since my last visit which of course is not visible. To get around it I click on notifications to go to my inbox and that brings up a normal sized screen and then from there I can click on new messages. Most of the time the messages open properly. If they don't I just go to back and ignore that topic. But yes while it is a workable solution good to bring it to their attention so they can work out the why and how to fix problem.
