    Ignoring Bill 10

I am just going to lower my daily rates and take in a bunch of extra kids.

This is what I heard between 2 local daycare providers the other day during school pick-up. And then I was a yoga and the instructor introduced me to another lady and the lady said that she does home daycare. So I asked, "oh, will Bill 10 affect you?" Her response:

"No. My kids are in their 20's. I have been doing this for 15 years. I have 6 kids during the days and then I have my before and after school kids. I have 2 hired school helpers"

Honestly, I feel like that I the only one following the rules and it is frustrating. They dont even try to hide it, they are open with it. I mean, I can hire a helper as well and take in 5 additional kids and make a killing. SOOOO frustrating! Sorry for venting ladies, just needed to get it out there as you are the only ones to understand.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
