Hi threetimesacharm.... I know exactly what you are talking about. Mind you...my 2 year olds NEVER leave the kitchen on their own (they are in a high chair, whether it's eating, painting, crafting etc. When my 2 - 3 yr olds leave to use the bathroom, etc. they wouldn't even think about taking a sippy cup out of the kitchen with them...never had that happen...as far as touching anything in the bathroom,..I do have a very EVIL eye! LOL...they don't touch anything...I did have a 3 year old once open the cupboards under the sink and I told her if she ever did that again while she was in the bathroom...I would simply put her in a diaper from then on and she would not be allowed to use my bathroom...problem solved....(gosh I sound so harsh!) but it is for their own safety as well as teaching them DON'T TOUCH MY THINGS....As far as talking to a wall about rules...gosh I must tell (especially the 3 year olds...'NO RUNNING IN MY HOUSE'..You would think it's simple after hearing it a bigillion times...NO.....broke n record....They spend more time ..in time out over this rule...I will NOT have a child face plant into my wall corner....;It will never end...I know these kids have free run of the house at home..(especially the single child syndrome) ones.....so always fighting a losing battle....I have weeks that I pray for Friday to come....give me my pay and GO HOME!
