Trouble Twins
At our daycare, we have two horrible twins, age 3, that are whiny, won't listen, and keep moving all over the place. PLUS they ALWAYS have to PEE LIKE EVERY 15 MINS. And sometimes one of them will just pee on himself if he doesnt go every other 15 mins. they drive me crazy and one keeps crying and crying and doesnt stop. he cries for the simplest reason. ESTROGEN much? They disrupt all the circle time and they wont do their craft and run around and play with other toys. plz helppppppppppp

Is this the daycare that your children go to...or is this your daycare business?

Im a teacher at this daycare. My age group is 4-5, but sometimes this teacher brings her 3 yr olds in my class because we are a bit short on staff.

I was hoping you would say it was your business..and there would be a perfect solution! Hmmmm...what does the teacher (mother ) say?

the teacher is like you stress yourself out too much, but who wouldnt be stressed on 3 yr olds squirming, talking, moving, whining? when u have 3 year old distracting the 4-5 yr old or when the 3 yrd olds all start talking when the rest of your kids are quiet. the lesson plan gets ruined and u waste so much energy talking to them

I'm not sure if this is a troll or not......
3 year olds are going to squirm, talk, whine and move. It's what they're supposed to do. (well to an extent, you know what I mean?) It's unfair IMO to expect them to be well behaved all of the time. If they have to pee (and are actually peeing) than what can you do? How would you like to be told you couldn't use the washroom if you honestly needed too?
Children are not robots, they are not adults. They need to be able to move and explore and ask questions in order to learn. If it's disrupting the lesson plan than are there ways you can make the lesson more interesting to them? Can you make it shorter as kids just naturally have a shorter attention span? Can you do smaller groups...one teacher do free play with half the group and the other teacher does the lesson and than switch?

i think its because the other teaccher who is SUPPOSED to be responsible for them leaves them to me and walks out. so i have to do her job and mine.

Then take it up with boss but really, your attitude to these twins who are being shipped from one room to the next, stinks. It's not a 3 years old's fault, that's the one straight fact here.

Any 3 year olds placed in a program of 4-5 year olds are going to look poorly behaved. Three year olds are not going to act like 4-5 year olds. They need a program that is geared to their age and ability. If they are being plopping into a different room, with different children, different teachers, different expectations then they NEED a teacher that can guide them and have patience with them. It is unfair to expect them to just show up, sit down and be quiet. Maybe they need to pee so often because they are stressed with being in a program they are too young for and know they cannot meet your expectations.
