    Anyone provide just B&A care?

I'm just wondering if anyone here provides just B&A care? Due to financial reasons I will be opening again but only concentrating on older kids. I'm looking to see what kind of program, activities etc I should run.

I was thinking a weekly craft day, baking day, sports day, movie day, etc... I have never really provided care to on,y this age group. Looking for some ideas. TIA

    Welcome back !!!
that is a great idea for you . B&A are very popular with some providers because they have the day free while the kids are at school
ideas- going on nature walks seeing what they notice
    lots of advance crafts
oh you are going to have fun with the older kids
    Good Luck

I would take them to the school playground every day after school and then have a daily activity. This way they get a chance to blow off some steam and you're back at your place for pick up's.

My daughter's B & A has a circle time, snack, they do centres and have time outside. I don't think circle time is necessary as they already do this is school and they just want to goof off and have fun.

If it were me i would want my child in an after school program that is more or less unstructured with the emphasis on outdoor play as much as possible. Their days are already structured enough. I would want them to just have fun! You might want to wait and see what kind of kids you have and program according to their likes and dislikes too.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
