Impetigo

So, a daycare boy was here all day, and had a blister on his mouth. I've never seen impetigo, and didn't think much of it. I thought it might be a cold sore.Anyways, his dad dropped him off and didn't say anything, his mom picked up and took him straight to a doctor. So he's got impetigo, and staying home tomorrow. He was playing mostly with the same kid all day today, and as I was talking to the other boys mom, the non infected boy grabbed infected boys cup and started drinking his water. So I'm thinking it's likely that boy will catch it right? I have never dealt with impetigo, and I'm hiding in my room with my kids, I won't let them into the rest of the house until I disinfect after they go to bed. Can I ask the other family to keep their kid home to see if he's going to catch it?
Or should I close tomorrow to try to keep this infection from spreading?

It is contagious until AFTER the sores have gone away UNLESS they take antibiotics (then after 24-48hrs of the start of the antibiotics). Highly contagious and spread through direct contact with the blisters or anything that touched the blisters (including their fingers that scratched it).

The child that has the blister should remain at home for 2 days after starting the antibiotics. The other child is a bit more tricky...as much as he may get it you can't tell if he will so making him stay home tomorrow may not help anything and will potentially upset the parents. You'd have to go with your gut and hope they are ok with it!!

What's the chances I'm going to be able to stop this from spreading? Is it unreasonable of me to close tomorrow? I almost never close, but I think all except my problem family would be understanding.

And another question, we spend a lot of the day outside. Do I have to disinfect the outside toys or is that overreacting?

I know this question was yesterday, but how did it go today? I haven't dealt with impetigo either, so I would likely opt for more cautious and disinfect everything.

We disinfected like crazy last night, and we went for a really long walk this morning, so we weren't around much today. None of the other kids are showing signs yet, but apparently it can take up to 10 days. I told the mom that I was nervous about the fact that his sore on his mouth wouldn't be covered, and she offered to keep him home am extra day. So I'm relieved about that.
