    Sketchy Or Not?

    Hi everyone!

I just had an interview with a client and I am not sure what to make of this. She told me she met a provider ( I know exactly what home daycare it was) and she found it a little sketchy. She explain to me that this provider runs her home daycare in her house claiming that she is registered. She told me when she asked her who she is registered with she refused to tell her over email and said she only discuss that in person due to privacy reasons . When this lady went for the interview she then told her she asked her who she is licensed/registered with and she said she is a registered business with the province of Ontario even though she is a home daycare provider? Lol Does this seem right to anyone else?

Anyway this lady didn't end up going with her bc she said it seemed a little sketchy and it just didn't feel right. She claims she serves organic food, provides diapers ,wipes and that parents don't need to bring anything with them just their child. Her rates also seem low for someone who provides this. She also tell parents she is the best daycare in our area lol It just seems a little fishy hmm

What she probably means is she has registered her business name with the province of Ontario. It means basically nothing other than she can use her name and logo. Technically if you call your daycare anything other than by your name for example you call it Little Dinosaurs Home Daycare you need to register that name in order to use it. Most don't bother doing that. The provider is totally misunderstanding what she did and why she did it.

A few tips...

If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
