Yes overlap is the hardest because one set of workers needs to drop off and go to work so the other group can leave work and pick up their children so you have that hour when both workers need care but it is illegal to allow the overlap. The result is that unless the other parent can pick up or drop off so there is no overlap you often end up with open spaces meaning you don't really make any more money than as you just have the same number of kids as other providers. Second or third shift does either command a higher rate or recognize your expenses would be less since you would be doing less programming, crafts, etc.
