Bad Day

I don't even know what is wrong with today but so far its been a bad day. The kids just aren't listening great and I think I am in a bad mood and its rubbing off on them. My husband injured his knee last night and so he is home. I think I partly feel worried/bad for him as he seems to be in a lot of pain but he is also grumpy because he's miserable which has made me grumpy.

I had the kids in the sprinkler and I went to change one out of his bathing suit and didn't realize he had pooped. I never bother with swim diapers if were just in the sprinkler and he doesn't poop much and when he does it is these hard nuggets (never in a bathing suit though, he holds it). Never been a problem. Well I sat him on my lap, pulled down his swimming trunks only to have soft poo smeared all over my capris (that were thankfully brown, heh heh). Poop everywhere! As I was cleaning him up outside the kids went off the rail, my girls fighting, other kids whining. I bring them all in, change them all out of their wet stuff and run up to change my own pants. They were just all hard to be around. All of them very loud, my daughter screaming every time she doesn't like something. I put both my girls in their rooms and dealt with the DC kids. They complained about lunch, didn't eat much and now it is nap time and they are all awake and talking. I have one little singer/talker in my room normally but today I put her with the rest of the kids so my husband could lie down. That lasted 5 mins as she was horrible. Now they are all up and crying/talking...so done today! Now I've got to hang out with my miserable/sucky husband all nap time and listen to these crying kids. Vent over.

We had an amazing Mon and Tues...is this just payback?

Awwww . Sorry for your rough day!! . That sucks. Try to laugh about things and roll them off your back. I mean who wouldn't want poop all over their pants when they weren't expecting it?
Hope your tomorrow is MUCH better. And tell hubby to see a doc if hes in much pain....say I have enough whinny kids to care for! hope his knee is better soon too!
