I am from the Calgary area.... (just north). I get 10 days off, plus 4 personal days and all Stats, PAID. Beyond that, I would prorate if I took more time off. So far, I have not had any issues with parents when we discuss this.
Most of them get holidays, or at least holiday pay. Why shouldn't I?
