Is part time and before and after school care the same

Just wondering if part time and before and after school care is the same. I have a client coming over for before and after school and I want to make that when putting it in my contract that I am explaining it correctly. I am just doing full time care and before and after school care. No part timers. Hopefully that makes sense. Thank you.

I wouldn't make it the same thing. In my mind it's different. Full time is every day all day. Part time is some days all day, some days for a few hrs or every day for only a few hrs. b/A is care before school and after school and for school holidays

For me, and in this area, PT means infant, toddler or preschool child, who come either shorter hours in day maybe morning only or afternoon only, or who come all day but not every day of week.

Fulltime is all day child who come every business day (except stat close etc) for full day.

Before and After School is child who come from open time until school bus pick up (or carer transport to school) and return after school end until as late as business closing time. Some provider offer their BAS children full time day when school closed for PD day, snow day, Summer, March Break, Christmas. Other BAS provider never offer all day care when school close and follow school board schedule. So if school open, dayhome open. If school closed, dayhome closed. Some offer a combination.

If offer BAS, think about if you are going to want them all day on snow day and any other school close day or not and make sure contract is clear if these available or not. Also think about what fee you going charge for all day care if offer it. And finally, think about if there going be overlap from younger children if school age child there all day which might take over ratio.
