    Deposits

Just updating my contract, and wanted some advice. Are there any circumstances where a provider might decide that a client will forfeit their deposit, or part of their deposit, based on specific situations. If so, what instances would you use for not returning the deposit. I already have instances like not giving enough notice to leave/immediate termination due to aggressive behaviour/repeated late payments etc.
Any suggestions for other reasons? Thanks.

I have in my contract that if they terminate care within 52 weeks (1yr) of their start date than they forfiet their deposit.

If I have to terminate immediately (safety reasons) they forfiet their deposit.

If they are temporary (under 12 months) they can't use their deposit towards care. It is to sucure the spot for such a short time.

I don't call the deposit a deposit. I call it an enrollment fee as its paid at the time of enrollment. Plus the word deposit implies they will get it back.
I call my weekly program fee a tuition.
