    Hmmm, well a few things....

    * Ive never had a cops child so I can't say if I'd take them or not. I don't think it would bother me? (I know a few people who are cops and I actually think they'd be good dc families lol)

    * He likely sounds like he is interrogating you because that is part of his job and likely just his personality. I would try not to let that bother you

    * the things he is asking are acceptable to me and things I wish more parents looked into when choosing a daycare so that situations like the Vaughan one don't happen again. I think in situations like that, both parents and provider are at fault

However, after saying all that, whether he's a cop, doctor or pumps gas for a living....I expect ALL my families to respect and obey all my policies and rules. I'd be addressing that issue just like any other time I've needed too with other families

I think you are in a very difficult position.

i want to say terminate effective immediately as the requests about insurance make me worried he is going to try and sue you. But, i would NOT give him 2 weeks notice (or what ever you have in your contract) because there is a strong chance he would use that notice period to either sue or make your life miserable.

But, I would also worry about giving notice of termination effective immediately as he may use that as a reason to try and sue you.

Frankly, I don't know what to suggest. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING
Every single time he mentions insurance or anything else. Write it down. Immediately. Date, Time, situation and what he says and your response. If anything does arise later you will need this in court.

Any time he arrives late or anything out of the contracted terms document it. You will need concrete evidence.

    Thank you for the posts!

I still feel the same lol I don't know if its something or just nothing. I want to send a text and ask if everything is okay since I noticed all these questions have started just around the time I told him I would terminated if hes late. The child has been with me for 3 months now and never ever once were these questions asked until recently!

The next time he asks about your insurance say: "Insurance is for my protection not yours. Should I be calling my insurance company to let them know you are planning on suing me for some reason?" Then watch his reaction.

I have a termination policy and it gives me the right to terminate immediately for certain reasons and this family has violated a few of them so I would term right away because if you give two weeks notice or whatever your notice period it is not going to end well ...

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
