    Drop-in fee

This may have already been posted by someone, but I am wondering how much more people charge for dop-in care than regular care? I have someone who wants a day or two over the holidays (I am open those days, but have space) and I normally charge $42/day for full-time, but have never done drop-in, so I don't know what to charge.

For something like this I would probably just charge my regular rate or in your case $45. Since it is just extra money and not taking away from what you could be earning the regular is fine. The idea behind charging more for part time is that over time it helps to compensate for days left vacant that you can't fill.

I would charge more because the kid is bound to be more work or frustration. It will be a child who is not used to being in your group, who doesn't know the rules or the routine.

    Yeah, charge MUCH more.

If my fee were $42 I would be charging $50.
