    Sick leave

    Good morning ladies:

How many sick days/personal days do you have in your agreement. Not counting your holidays and how did you word it in your agreement.

    Thank you

None. I don't get paid if I am sick and close. I don't get paid holidays either. I do charge for stats.

I take roughly 10 days off in a year unpaid holiday days. I spread them out throughout the year.

I opted not to have a set number of sick days. Instead I put sick days as unpaid (since they are last minute and stress me out to have to call in sick). I do 3 weeks paid vacation and paid stats though.

I didn't set a number, it tends to be the families that bring the illnesses in. If they don't like us taking sick days they should contain the illnesses in their homes!

I have up to 5 paid personal days in my contract.

"The child provider receives 5 paid days off per year if needed for illness, appointments or family emergencies. Any additional time off will be deducted from the flat rate fee."

I have 10 paid personal day. This is for sick, holiday, everything. I also closed and paid for stat and public holidays. Client pay bi-weekly fees which same amount every 2 week. No change if they off, if I off, if it stat day or public holiday.

Any time off over 10 day is unpaid.

I don't call it sick or personal days, I call it days of rest, which I could use for whatever purpose I need(appts/sick/holidays etc) I have 4 weeks off.

I don't get paid sick days. Many places of employment don't. I don't feel it's right if I'm not offering any service
