    Trouble with daycare mom

Do any of you have drop off/pick up policies? I'm having some issues with a a couple of families right now in regards to drop off and pick up.

My issues are parents telling me (or not telling me) that they will be dropping off later than the agreed upon time and then not even showing up when they say. So we are waiting and waiting to carry on with our day.....waiting to have snack, waiting to go outside to play, things like that. Or showing up an hour and half early while we are having afternoon snack or in the middle of of a craft. It's very distruptive. I have mentioned it to one parent in particular but she just doesn't get it!

I not wait either. And I know phone around trying to get information. We get on with our day.

My client have contracted hours of care but I require all children be here by 9am. Anyone not here risks not having care that day because we leave after 9am snack. Anyone late picking up is charged $1 a min. and I can terminate if it regular happens.

I have set time for snack and lunch too. If someone come after a meal, they missed out. This not cafe.

Yes ... Never wait... And the first time a parent has to drive around to find you they won't be late again ... Until it inconveniences the parent nothing will change. I also don't allow drop off or pick up between 12-3 .... The other children are sleeping and everybody needs to respect that.

I don't wait. We follow our schedule. If they are not there while I am prepping snack then they don't get any, if they are not there when we start craft they don't get to do one. I would send out a notice to parents stating exactly what you told us - that inconsistent drop off/pickups are disruptive to your schedule. Ask that if they are going to be picking up or dropping off at a different time to please send you a text. Let them know that you will be sticking to your schedule and any that come during or after will not get to participate.
