    Question Abreviations

    Just out of curiosity...

In this forum, there are many abreviations used. When I first came here, it took me awhile to figure them out, for example, I assumed "DCB" means daycare boy. I also assumed that "DD" meant daycare daughter and "DH" meant daycare husband. (Although those last two never really made sense to me! ) So today, I see "DH" in a post about knitting in a Facebook group. The person was clearly refering to her husband, so what does the "D" stand for?

Anyone who uses these abreviations, can you please tell me what they mean to you?

I only know these because of another forum I used to be a part of. But it took me a long time to figure them out.

    DH: Dear husband
    DD: Dear daughter
    DS: Dear son

Don't ask me why everyone is called a "dear".

I knew it meant dear..I assume because it just looks more purposeful when you write DH or DS versus just having a random s or h in the middle of a sentence! But, i have no clue if this is the case!

I understood it to mean dear as well, but in my case DH would mean dumbass husband (seperated but not yet divorced, so legally still my dumbass husband!)
