Police Checks

Hi all - how often do we need to renew our police checks?

Every 5 years here.

Depends where you are. In Ontario there is no requirement to have a police check in the first place. They are also out of date the day after you apply for it anyway. Offer a false sense of reassurance and the system in this country for access and keeping them up to date is poor at best.

Agree. I really wish they being the government would create a central data baseof sors instead of what they did with bill 10.

every 5 years in BC and police keep it on file so no paper to show parents but they know you need the police check to work with children and even to volunteer to work with children or be a teacher or home daycare and the police seem to be on top of it over here and I do hope they are as it good to protect the children
