    Hi I would have him ready to go dressed on the front step. Mom come, hand him over and walk away. Let her know that you are going to do this for a week or more so as to retrain said child on the right way to leave daycare. Once thing get better, if they get better, you can move it back slowly that he gets himself ready

    Okay, I'll have mom text me when shell be here as its not always at closing and have him ready. But when we're already outside for pick up which is usually the case, and he's dressed etc he runs to other end of fenced area and plants himself there. I can see her getting unravelled and losing confidence. Even if I'm firm with him he loses it. I also thought of ignoring him completely and chatting with mom a few minutes without any focus on him. Will try a few things. She doesn't want to make a scene infrin front if the other parents. Maybe I'll put something in my next newsletter about screamers at pick up time and that they are in training.
