    Parents gave notice... rant.

I care for a pair of siblings. Yesterday, mom sent me a text after drop off giving me her notice and last scheduled day is Nov 18. Turns out sending kids to a centre and had been on a wait list. Now I am not sure if I will take on anymore kids and have been looking for part time work outside the house to keep my options open. Fantastic timing (insert sarcasm).

I have some paid personal days left. And I intend on taking one tomorrow. Is it completely wrong of me to take Rembrance Day off too? Dad is Federal Gov and will be home. I just feel like using up the 4 paid personal days I have left. Ugh.

Sorry this is happening to your.

I take Remembrance Day off with pay. I don't see a problem with taking it off.

It depends on how much notice your contract says you will give for days off?

On a side note - Remembrance Day is a paid day off in my contract

I take it off as a paid day too, so it would be good to tell all the Parents before hand so no confusion

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
