Pls help!! My insurance company wants to charge me for $100/yr/child!!

    Hi everyone,

I need help! My home insurance company wanted to charge me for $100/yr/child. I am in a very small town, Creston, B.C. And this is my first daycare business. Does anyone knows your company is good pls let me know. Thanks in advance! (at the meantime, I am doing all the phone calls to search the reasonable plan)

I am in BC and I keep my home and daycare insurance separate.
the daycare insurance is with WESTERN financial Group in Kelowna and is about $250 a year and I can pay monthly.

I'm in PEI and pay $333 a year for day home insurance on top of my house policy. I am with Co-operators.

Mine is $30/year per child. As much as yours is 3x that, it is quite possibly just what they deem acceptable and there is likely nothing you can do other than switching insurers.

I had to switch insurance companies in order to get coverage for daycare (because of my pool). The actual charge is $40 per child per year, but I'm paying $200 more per month compared to my old company pre-daycare. It sucks! But I shopped around, it was the best I could do

Thx everyone for replying! I spoke to Coastal Community, they said $500 per yr for 5 million liability! Could you tell me how much do you get cover based on your plan? TIA

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
