Kits House will be opening a new Daycare as part of the re-developed Neighbourhood House with 2 spots for children 30-36 months & 23 spots for children 36 month- 5 years.
Bumblebear Daycare creates a community of learning, where community development work meets early childhood education. We embrace the process of learning, encouraging our teachers to be present, listening and growing alongside our children. We support the interests of the children. The materials offered to the children are rich with creative possibilities. Highly qualified staff ensure a Reggio Emelia[1] inspired approach to learning through their delight in children, an understanding of the value of play, their vision, heart, knowledge, skills, and a strong commitment to families. We encourage our learners to think creatively, to innovate, while experiencing the world through compassionate eyes.

Priority is given to:
- families living or working on the Westside of Vancouver (Granville west to UBC, Water
south to 43rd Ave)
- children currently enrolled in Bumbletree Childcare and moving up to our three to five
program;
- siblings of children currently in another Kits House Childcare Program (Bumble Tree or
Out of School Care Program) or siblings of children who have been in the Daycare
during the last 3 years
We enroll new children on what is best for the group (balance of ages, gender & development
needs). |
