In this cozy old house, we will encourage children to increase their understanding of their responsibility to care for their environment and built heritage on a day to day, and for long-term sustainability.Supporting children to appreciate and care for the environment is not a new concept.Teaching responsibility can begin when they are young and is one of the best values for children to possess.

Learning in an historic environment will not only give our children opportunities to develop a sense of environmental responsibility, but will also introduce our children to their Canadian identity. We trust our children will discover the significance of multiculturalism from participating in classes and programs being taught in this heritage house - ensuring that all of them retain their identities, take pride in their ancestry as well as develop a sense of belonging as they absorb the local history that surrounds them each day.
