"A very good home based child care centre ! This was our child’s first experience with day care and was a tough for the transition for child and us. Our child felt a bond from very first day due to Ramona’s affection and dedication and was soon comfortable with Ramona and other kids. I could easily talk to Ramona about my child’s needs etc.! My child used to say Mona a lot during our personal talks.

"Our daughter attended Green Star for over a year and thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She was very well provided for and had opportunities for all aspects of development. Ramona spends lots of time with the children outdoors where they are able to explore and play with a large variety of toys. Ramona provided a warm and nourishing lunch daily and our daughter never came home hungry. It’s a place I was always confident that our daughter would receive great care and attention while being given the opportunity to learn some independent skills. Highly recommend."

"My experience at green star was first and foremost one of community and support. Our child began attending just under 12 months old and will attend until her 3rd birthday. Ramona the owner operator and early childhood educator has a philosophy of allowing the child to discover who they are through a series of different environments within the daycare. They include a room that converts into a gymnastics place with swings, mats and tubes. A main discovery room with Montessori style activities, a wardrobe of costumes, a large table where the children eat and do arts activities. The outdoor area is situated next to a forest where the sounds of the river and wildlife make one feel grounded and peaceful. The outside play area allows for the child to explore, play with the multitude of castles, slides, balls, and playthings. They and Dig in the dirt, play with water tables, and run through bushes and collect flowers, bugs and rocks. The outdoor setup gave our daughter the opportunity to learn balance, confidence, and physical prowess. When you enter green star you enter into a family and the children feel that, they become one with each other. The interrelationships our daughter made within greenstar will last a long time if not a lifetime. I am grateful for Ramona’s support these last years and very grateful for the work she put into the development of our daughter."

"We used Green Star Childcare for almost a year for 2 of my little ones. We only stopped using Green Star Childcare because we had to move out of the area. We absolutely loved having them there! They loved going there as well, they looked forward to every visit. She provided a safe environment and was also great communicator. She had a great schedule, from play time to education time. They read, sang, danced and played. Her indoor play area was great, and she changed it often so they didnt get bored. Our little ones learned a lot while there. She also provided everything needed as well from healthy snacks and food, and toiletries. They spent a good amount of time outdoors and doing activities. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely return if we returned to the area!!"

"Being told how hard to find a good daycare, our family feels extremely fortunate to have found “Green Star” daycare and very pleased to know Ramona. Ramona with her optimistic and pleasant personality, is very dedicated, smart and caring in her approach to all kids. “Green Star” is a perfect place for our girl to play, learn and have enormous fun. Ramona always comes up with new creative and original ideas that keep all children happily entertained. “Green Star” provides fun game rooms, various organized activities and spacious outdoor play yard. "My youngest son attended Green Stars Childcare Centre for 2 years. In that time, we always had a great experience. Ramona goes above and beyond giving the kids a fun experience while providing the essentials of daily care. I appreciated the routines that she kept with the kids, the variety of programming she offered and the extra curricular activities. We always felt like one of the family and she always included my older children when she had her annual summer BBQ. I would recommend her to anyone. She keeps a lovely, clean space with lots of fun for the kids."

"I am the music teacher for Green Star and Ramona asked me to review her place. I can't say enough good things about it. It is my favourite place to teach music classes and the children are well behaved, polite, attentive, eager to learn new songs and participate and a delight to be around. Their energy reflects the owner/manager Ramona who provides them with a positive and stimulating learning environment. She is well organized, well educated and knowledgeable, very loving and giving to the children, and runs an excellent childcare where the children learn and grow every day. I am grateful to be a part of it and be their music teacher.

"Easily the best child care provider we've ever had. Ramona and her staff are attentive, knowledgable, enthusiastic and professional. All my questions (and some I didn't even think to ask) were answered up front and in detail. The environment is positive, friendly and educational. I feel welcome and valued every day. My son is clearly very happy being there - and most importantly - I know he is good hands. Everyone in our family loves Green Star!"

"Ramona's daycare is fantastic, not only is it full of toys for all ages, it is welcoming, friendly and truly had the kids' need in mind when she designed it. The play room is bright and large, the nap room is cozy and confortable. My 22-month-old loves to go there every day and I have a peace of mind at work that she is in good hands. In addition of all that, Ramona goes way beyond her "duties" when at the beginning of each month she provides every family with a CD full of pictures she took of the kids the previous month. It's great to see what they are up to all day when I can't be with her! She also organized awesome summer and Christmas parties complete with a clown and Santa. Green Star Daycare deserves the best rating in my opinion!"

"When you first step in to this daycare, you will know RIGHT AWAY that Ramona has put her heart and soul into doing this. This place LOOKS/FEELS like a daycare should. Everything is in the open (all certification, first aid, fire extinguisher, menu for the day) and she is VERY welcoming/accomodating. I have a month to month folder in my PC of pictures that Ramona gives to me of my little one. The children do have a great environment and they are not stuck indoors in front of a TV. Oh.. and Ramona held a SUMMER PARTY AND X'MAS (complete with SANTA) for 2012. How COOL is that!?"
