I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Our son Jude has been cared for by Robin since he was 11 months old; he is now three and a half. In the past two and a half years, we've had total peace of mind about his care, which, as parents, is invaluable. Robin is, in a word, amazing. She is calm, organized and attentive to the individual needs of each child; she really gets to know what makes each kid tick. She's an excellent communicator; this was especially valuable in the early days, when our sometimes-sensitive boy was adjusting to the daycare transition. Her regular "daycare diary" emails when Jude was small and text-message updates (with pictures!) did wonders to put our minds at ease. Jude is exceptionally well-fed at Robin's; her menus are varied, kid-friendly and always nutritious. Finally, we really appreciate Robin's efforts to routinely visit local drop-in centres with her crew. It's given Jude the best of both worlds: close, personal attention and exposure to the larger group-play and learning environments he'll encounter when he starts kindergarten in September 2015. Thankfully, Robin won't be out of our lives for long; we plan for our infant daughter to join the daycare when she's a year old. We recommend her wholeheartedly."

"We enrolled our daughter at Robin's Home Daycare in June 2013 when she was 1 years old.

Robin provided the perfect environment and care for our daughter at a young age. A wonderful balance of fun play based learning and nurturing atmosphere while instilling good manners through sign language and verbal communication.

As part of her daily program, she attended the Essex Public school's drop in centre with Robin's group, where she participated in "circle time" and various activities with other children older and younger that was necessary for her development.

Robin takes great pride in developing a nutritious meal plan for her group and provides the children with organic goods and ingredients when available. She is constantly introducing new foods to their ever changing and at times finicky tastes and will specifically work with families should your child have any food allergies or intolerances. We could always rest assured that our daughter ate very well in Robin's care.

As a first time parent my husband and I had many questions, Robin was patient and always happy to give advice on child rearing or offer alternative ideas and solutions.

Communication between Robin and the parents was outstanding. She provides the families with daycare diary updates on what the children did that day, how the slept, what they are and personal achievements for each child. She is always readily available via text and maintains an open door policy. Parents are free to drop in at anytime.

It was incredible to watch our daughter grow and thrive over the years and we owe a lot of that to Robin. We are forever grateful.

"Our son has been attending Robin's daycare this year. He started at 11 months old and we have had a wonderful experience. We always feel that our son is in entirely confident and caring hands. He has so much fun playing and learning.

Robin has helped us overcome several small challenges like not napping (fixed in a matter of weeks!), separation anxiety, special dietary needs. She taught him signs for "more", "all-done" and "eat" which are so helpful! He learned songs and actions to go with them, good discipline habits, how to feed himself and so much more. Robin is amazing!

We love the combination of group time and very personalized one-on-one time that Robin is able to give our son. He started in daycare fairly young and Robin was always ready to cuddle and comfort him as he adjusted - but that didn't take long because he LOVES going to Robin's.

We are always so impressed with the quality and variety of food that Robin offers the children. He eats better at daycare than at home! We also get great, detailed daily reports including cute stories from the day (which we love to read!).

Robin pays such special attention to each of her daycare children. She is loving and confident, calm and intelligent. We would highly recommend Robin!"

"I just want to say to any parent considering using Robin Richardson as a daycare provider that you need not worry about your child when they are with her!!
Robin provided daycare for my son for one year (2008-2009). The only reason I stopped sending him there was because I had a second child and she didn't have the space at the time to accommodate both my children.
She is a very warm and caring person, with the patience of a saint! She keeps the kids CONSTANTLY busy with many different activities and excursions to local parks and family/parenting centers where they can interact with other children, giving constant updates (often by way of texted photo!) of how they're doing throughout the day.
Meals provided are always healthy and well balanced.
If you are looking for childcare in the downtown core, look no further! Robin is AMAZING!!!!"

"It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Robin Richardson’s Daycare. Robin has been a personal friend for the last 18 years and has cared for my children for the past 6 years.

Previous to having children, Robin was my inspiration for parenthood as she raised her children in a downtown environment with grace, patience and warmth. She is caring, responsible and creative, an amazing combination of skills in a single caregiver.

Robin is willing to take on challenges without hesitation. My son Oscar has had many food intolerances since a very young age (gluten and dairy to name a few!). Robin took this on as a personal challenge to make sure that he did not feel left out at the lunch table, creating Oscar friendly versions of meals she served to the rest of the children. Robin is a great cook with many creative and healthy (often organic) child friendly meals. Children often experience and enjoy foods that they wouldn’t normally eat at home.

Robin is in a very convenient downtown location and often takes advantage of the many early years centers and parks. This summer she organized swimming lessons for all of her day care children, walking half an hour each way to Scadding Court Recreation Centre. As a parent with a fast paced career it was great to know that my children were in an active, healthy and safe environment.

I can’t recommend Robin and her daycare enough. We would be more than happy to share our experiences or answer any questions."

"Robin has been our daycare provider for several years and she is highly recommended!

She has created a safe, nurturing environment for children of various ages. Our kids are always telling us stories of how much fun they had during the day playing with everyone, visiting the many parks in the area or bringing home creative artwork made at Robin's. They always look forward to another day of fun.

The children are provided healthy, great tasting homemade meals; I only wish the kids got doggie bags for me!

She has great communication about schedules and information and often we will get cute pictures of the kids texted/emailed to us during the day. It really puts a smile on your face!

It's refreshing to know I don't have to worry about my kids or what they are doing during the day when they are with Robin."
