Childcare provider: Jill

I met with this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"I was in a situation where I was returning to work within a week and would require daycare ASAP for two children. I contacted Jill on a Saturday based on the site availability stating that there were three openings and was advised that she only had one spot available. I then received a call from Jill on Tuesday stating that she now had spacing available and an interview for arranged for that day. She seemed like she would be a good fit, however I also had another interview scheduled after, which I did advise Jill of. On Wednesday I had a follow up interview scheduled with Jill so my husband could meet her. Wednesday night I left a message stating that we would like to start the following Monday with her. Again she was aware of the time constrains we were under. On Thursday mid-morning Jill left a voicemail message stating that she was unable to take the children because she got a call Wednesday night from another person who had previously interviewed her. The issue I have with her is she phoned twice blocking her number so I won’t know it was her calling and when I answered the first time she hung up the phone. It would have also been considerate of her to phone back the Wednesday night, but for whatever reason she didn’t want to speak to me in person. I found this to be highly unprofessional and quite sneaky. One of her points in her description is to have an open communication style, which is obviously untrue. Just my two cents!"

+4	Childcare provider: Jill I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that: "I would highly recommend! She is wonderful with my son! She provides stimulating activities and crafts, daily outdoor activities, and "real" health food...not processed. She respects the parents wishes and is great at communicating."
