+1 Childcare provider: Lori

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"At first, we believed we had found a perfect care provider for our toddler. Unfortunately, when we were concerned about some of the practices she was advocating in the community such as restraints for time-outs, isolating infants for crying and cry-it out practices, we respectfully asked her about these concerns. We wanted to provide an opportunity for her to clarify how her advice was so different from what she shared with us in her interview. She terminated our contract "effective immediately" and left our belongings on the porch. We felt terrible! She put us in a difficult position to suddenly find a new care provider and also made us feel as though this care probably affected our child. If you value honesty, transparency, and reliability in a care-provider, I wouldn't recommend Lori."

+0 Childcare provider: Lori

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"There are many positives about Lori's home daycare- lots of outdoor time, healthy food and high quality toys. The reason for the low score is that she is very dishonest with what she tells parents compared to how she treats children. Lori promises respectful, gentle care and then in an online community, describes using CIO (for entire nap durations) restraining young children for time-out and isolating babies in playpens for having tantrums- even if it takes an hour. We believe that an honest partnership is the most important aspect in a parent-daycare provider relationship and sadly, with Lori this isn't the case."
