I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"My son has been at Marcia's daycare for 1.5 years now and i have nothing but wonderful things to say about Marcia and how she runs her home daycare. I am so thankful to have found such a wonderful place for my child. It truly is a jewel in the city. Marcia is not only loving and caring but has also taught my son so much. He comes home often having learned something new. We started with Marcia when he was 1years old. Unfortunately she is leaving toronto for Oshawa and i am so dissapointed she will not be around to care for my younger son. We have often used her for childcare on the weekends and overnight and it is such a comfort to know i can leave him there knowing he is in the greatest of care. Our family will miss her dearly. Oshawa you are lucky to have her! I am happy to speak with anyone who is interested in sending their child to Marcia's Home Daycare and answer any questions you might have."

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Marcia is one of the most loving, genuine, honest, responsible and dedicated home care providers I have met. My son has been in her care since he was 1 year old. Marcia has always treated my son like she would one of her own children. She has been the extended family to me that I don't have. Some of the ways her caring shows:

- she often hosts children's birthday parties for parents
- she herself hosts special holiday theme parties for the kids. Last year her father even dressed up as Santa and the kids had a great time.
- she has been available whenever possible for extra babysitting as we have needed.
- her own extended family have been a part of my son's life and they have been fabulous role models and caregivers to the kids at times.
- Marcia is always responsible in having back up for the rare instances she is ill or away.
- Marcia has gone the extra mile in providing developmentally appropriate toys and activities for the kids so they get so much more than just a body to oversee them.
- She provides EXCELLENT meals and snacks for the kids - my son loves her native "beans and rice" so much I have had to learn to make it so that I can offer it also.

My son has loved Marcia like a family member. He will be attending preschool soon and so will be leaving her care. I imagine we will always stay connected with her as he continues to grow.

Summary: I would have no hesitation at all to leave my child in her care and would highly recommend her to any parent looking for a reliable and loving daycare environment."

"Marcia's is like having a second home for my daughter. She takes what she does not as a job, but as the kids being a part of her family. She goes the extra mile without a second thought. My daughter loves her and can't wait to go there everyday. She doesn't just think of the kids but of how the parents feel about things she does, she let's you know about changes she is thinking of or ideas she has and wants to try. Marcia worry's about the kids if they aren't feeling well, even after they have left for the day or have been home. She takes the time to know the parents and the kids. She will go out of her way to help out when she can and if you need it. I don't think I could possibly say enough good things about her, her daycare, and her family."

"This is my son's second year with Marcia and we're so sad that she's moving out of Toronto. He started when he was 11 months and is now 2 1/2. My son loves going to the daycare. There are a lot of great activities for the kids in which they're always learning. Marcia is a very loving and organized daycare provider. The food is excellent and always freshly prepared. I'm sad that my next baby won't have Marcia as his/her daycare provider. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Marcia."
