+0 Childcare provider: Chrissy

I met with this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"I had an interview with chrissy and she is not what she seems to be. She claims that she has been doing daycare for 5 years but she has taken 2 or more of those years off when she had her youngest. I was dissapointed to find out that chrissy does not have flexible hours as she claims to. She does not work weekends or evenings. I was very upset that she lied in her ad about having first aid and cpr. Her police check is a basic one for schools but does not go into detail like all home child care centres should have. Her references turned out to be friends of hers and not actual parents that she has done childcare for. She also has a large dog as she mentions in her ad but when i asked to see papers from the vet stating that the dog is upto date on shots, she could not provide this. I really do not want my child being around animals who have not had any shots. The house is also very small and with a small toy room that the children are confined to all day. I was not impressed at all. Chrissy did not say much at all in the interview but instead gave me a "welcome package" to read instead. It seemed as if she is doing daycare not because she loves children but because she needs money. I also learned that she does not know anything about french or sign lauguage as she tries to say she teaches the children. I would be very careful of this home childcare provider and ask lots of questions as chrissy doesnt provide much information unless asked."

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"I use Chrissy as my back up child care provider for my own home daycare incase i am ever sick. She is wonderful with the children, has a lot of patience, and is always smiling. Chrissy takes the extra step with each and every family."
