I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"My family had a horrible experience with Cindy and Brookswood Bairns. In our case, in May we arranged for our sons daycare to start in Spet-Oct. During the weeks and months leading up to what was to be his first day, we spoke with Cindy on several occasions, he went on a field trip with Cindy and spent a couple of hours at the daycare the week before to help him transition. The whole time we were led to believe that everything was on schedule and that this would be a caring and suitable arrangement for our little guy. Well, the NIGHT before what was to be his first day, my wife received a phone call from Cindy informing us that she would no longer be able care for our son due to ongoing staffing issues. Cindy left us high and dry, scrambling to find another daycare with only a few weeks before my wife's maternity leave was up. Terribly unprofessional and disrespectful Cindy, you deserve the rating you received."

Provider's reply:

"First I want to say that I felt terrible that I had no choice to do this to this family. As difficult as it was to receive this news it was as difficult for me to deliver it. My decision was based on safety. As Dave's son was under 1 year old and not walking. I felt it was not safe to have his child on the floor with 7 other active boys and only 1 staff member monitoring all of them. My staff member unexpectedly gave notice and on this same day I called Dave's family to give them as much notice as possible. I would like to clarify that I do not have ongoing staff issues. As Dave's wife was not going back to work for another 3 weeks they had time to look for another childcare. In fact on this same day they had a call from another childcare confirming if they still wanted a spot that was available to them. It was not an easy decision as I had spent many hours with Dave's son and his wife. I formed a relationship with both of them on the visits that lead up to his sons first official day. It saddens me to be called unprofessional and disrespectful. This decision was made for all the families involved in my childcare. Imagine if I did take on your son Dave and your son got hurt or any of the other children in childcare got hurt because I was not keeping all the children safe."

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"I highly recommend Cindy and the Brookswood Bairns team. My 3 year old twin boys have been attending Cindy's for 8 months now and it is fabulous. They are thriving and learning something new everyday. Brookswood Bairns offers the structure and educational focus of a group daycare with the intimacy of home based family daycare, which for us is a perfect fit. The children get plenty of outside time and lots of field trips which my boys love. I would recommend Brookswood Bairns to anyone looking for a daycare."

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Best daycare ever! My son went to this daycare from the age of 1 until he reached 1st grade. One of the best decisions I made was entrusting my son to Cindy. She is very hands on, let me know if there were any issues and we all worked together to resolve any problems. She is very resourceful with play and education. My son would come home having learned something and having a thoroughly enjoyable day (always busy and he would come home tired). She is very compassionate and gives all children equal time. I highly recommend this daycare (and have several times)."

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"My daughters time at this daycare was great. She learned many educational things as well as new foods. Cindy always went out of her way to introduce the children to new things. She planned many in class and out if class field trips which were a huge hit. I would highly recommend Cindy and her daycare."
