I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Naomi is a wonderful daycare provider. She has a structured routine and excellent curriculum to prepare children for preschool and/or kindergarten. Our daughter was there for about a year and loved going to “Auntie’s” to play with all her friends, learn how to share toys, and explore the outdoors. We love Naomi because she gently teaches the children in her care so many important skills with a very kind attitude. We also appreciate the homemade snacks and meals she provides. She obviously loves all the families she works with. When my husband was out of town, she allowed an early drop off exception so I would not have to miss work. We will miss her very much and cannot recommend her enough for other families seeking the best quality care for their child(ren).

"I’ve have nothing but great things to say about Ladybug Child Care and Learning Centre. My oldest child Brian started going there when he was two in 2016. My second, Irene, started attending once she turned one. My third, Serena, started even earlier at 10 months of age in 2019. Even though the daycare is not on my way to work from home, I still feel it is very worthwhile to send my kids there all these years!

I feel confident that my children are in excellent hands and receive the best of care here. I never have to worry about their lunch as they are always well prepared and home made. Naomi even have to take time to make special meals as Irene is allergic to fish and eggs. All my children have moderate to severe eczema and Naomi has been excellent tending to their special needs such as applying lotion to their body and observing their skin at all times.

My kids always ask me to pick them up last as they want to spend more time there. Over the weekend, they always ask when is the next time they can go back to Auntie Naomi’s daycare. She is like our extended family and we are sad our third one is going to Kindergarten in September 2023.

I am so thankful that all my kids are lucky to have her as their daycare teacher. Naomi is like their second mom as she potty trained them successfully. Moreover, she taught them all the social skills and manners so they can all grow up to be normal and decent people one day with good character and help them to be successful in their future endeavour.

My children are always eager to drop in even after graduation. Lastly, I highly recommend this daycare if you are looking for a place for your child to grow, develop, and prepare for kindergarten!"

"After having a poor experience with our first daycare, Naomi came to our rescue! Our daughter Lola (whom was 2 at the time) warmed up to Naomi the first time we went to her home. Lola played with her without any hesitation and that stuck with me. Their interactions felt natural and Naomi never tried to put on a show for us.

The other children in her care quickly bonded with Lola and were a harmonious group. Naomi was always friendly and easygoing during drop off/pick-up and I really enjoyed our little chats.

Naomi made wholesome lunches and snacks - always had 2 fruits and 1 veg daily. She often made her own bread and dumplings! This was a top highlight for me. I want Lola to eat unprocessed food as often as possible.

Another highlight for me was the amount of outdoor time Lola had. Naomi has a nice little yard and she maximizes it! Lola was always outside, whether finding worms, gardening or water painting. Her activities were simple but super creative and Lola always enjoyed herself.

I always appreciated the pics that Naomi would send me during the day. She always made birthdays extra special for all of the children.

Lola was blessed to be in Naomi's care for almost 1.5 yrs. We had to pull Lola out in Feb 2022 due to the stress of the lengthy drive. It was a difficult decision but I'm happy that another child will get to grow up with her!"

"My daughter Heidi has been attending this daycare since she was 3 years old and I truly can’t say enough positive things about Naomi and her daycare.

A few of the things I love about ladybug:

- A personalized approach to care (feels like Heidi is part of the family, as Naomi’s children are wonderful girls and are attentive to the kids when they are free from their school and extra curricular activities)
- conscientious, informed and responsible approach to child-care
- Naomi’s cooking :) (I dislike picky eating and having Heidi attend this daycare has ensured she has eaten ribs, broccoli, fried rice, tofu, mushrooms, cauliflower, and all sorts of other veggies... I’ve admittedly not tried her food myself but sometimes I have to admit - I am envious of what Heidi gets to eat while I scrounge together some form of lunch. Also, Heidi compares things I make to “Auntie’s” :)
- Outdoor time and daily routines (eg circle time, snacks, etc)
- A sense of complete comfort: I haven’t had a day of anxiety about leaving Heidi in Naomi’s care and would almost consider her a true Auntie.

Honestly, I could go on. Naomi is a gem. She is a wonderful person, and a truly exceptional childcare provider. She is knowledgeable, caring, well-read, and invested.

If you are lucky enough to get a spot, take it and rest easy! Your little kiddo is in wonderful hands. I am happy to be a contact or reference for Naomi, so feel free to ask her to contact me (as I don’t wish to make my information public).

"Naomi is warm, caring and is so passionate about what she does.

When I met Naomi, it was my first time placing my child in daycare. I was so nervous and quite hesitant but Naomi put all my worries at ease when we first visited her daycare.

First off, her daycare is very clean and organized with plenty of space indoors and outdoors for the kids to play. She had lots of toys for kids to play and engage. She has an awesome backyard with lots of outdoor toys. There is also a nearby park that is within walking distance (inside a neighbourhood) from her home. There is a big space dedicated as their sleep area and that was clean, well-kept and organized. By the door, she posts the kids daily meals and snacks which I found very helpful. Naomi has a great routine for the kids and she gives the kids tons of time outdoors (mostly twice a day) which my daughter really loved. She also does different activities everyday including art and circle time with singing, stories or puppets.

My daughter had a lot of separation anxiety and "stranger danger" having used to being cared only by family. Naomi worked out a plan for Kayla where I would just drop her off for few hours the first couple days and then to before naptime and to transition her to full day depending on how Kayla was doing. Throughout the day, especially in that first week, Naomi texted me updates and pictures of how Kayla was doing. I was so happy how well and surprised at how fast she adapted in Naomi's care. I think that week alone says a lot about Naomi's care and how caring and passionate she is. I really appreciated how she personalized my child's care and let her transition into full day as she got more comfortable. This really helped Kayla a lot and by the end of our time with Naomi Kayla did not want to go home when I came to pick her up.

Naomi has a great opt-in full meal and snack plan. She provides healthy and well-balanced meals and snacks for the kids. All her meals are homemade and my child who was picky prior to starting daycare really enjoyed all her meals. Naomi will usually let each parent know when you pick your child up how well she did with meals.

We were sad as we unexpectedly had to take Kayla off daycare due to COVID. This really was not an easy decision for us as Kayla was really having a great time and doing well in Naomi's care. We hope to be able to return to her when the time is right :)"

"Naomi is an excellent childcare provider.

I put both of my daughters into her care over the last 5 and a half years and I could not be happier. Naomi has a great attention for every detail about the kids and helps turn them into strong, independent children. Both of my kids were problem nappers and eaters at home but Naomi has given them a strong structure where they can get what they need in the day.

My first was very prepared for school, from her emotional development and social skills to her ability to keep up with the kindergarten academics.

My second is not school age yet and we are only stopping care as work has taken me to another city.

Both kids learned imaginative play, a love for crafts, and a good appetite for a wide variety of healthy foods. They come home singing songs, talking about the fun things they do and learn in the day, and develop strong bonds with the other kids.

I would 100% recommend this daycare."

Naomi has been an incredible early-ages educator and we could not have been more pleased with how well prepared our son was for Kindergarten this year. I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Our Daughter Mia has been attending the Ladybug Child care for the last six months.

Leaving a one-year-old daughter with someone is a tough process; but Naomi was able to make it easier and relaxing. We went through slow integration where Mia spend a little bit of time with kids and Naomi to get used to group. Through time, both sides became more comfortable and Mia loved coming to daycare. Circle time and games with older kids made our daughter more mature and she was able to interact with kids outside of daycare way better, this was an amazing effort done by Naomi.

Key things we noticed from the first time we entered the house: Attention to detail, cleanliness and strive for routine. The place is well organized with play area, sleeping area and a good size backyard. It is located next to multiple parks; that were visited by our daughter during the outside time.

Furthermore overtime we noticed Naomi’s willingness to help us with poty training and self feeding. Those little extras is what make this daycare exceptional. It was also easy to talk to Naomi about little issues and solve them together.

Without a shadow of the doubt we would recommend Ladybug Childcare and Naomi."

"Naomi has been our son's daycare provider for 4 years now. She is nurturing, patient and incredibly kind. As soon as I met Naomi, I felt 100% at ease with leaving my child with her.

The days at her centre are always well structured with a variety of activities, both educational and play based. Over the years my son has learned so much there and at the appropriate age. Naomi has re-enforced values and morals which has assisted my son in building a good moral character. Naomi has had a positive impact in my son’s life in which my son will benefit for years to come.

The indoor areas are always clean and tidy, and the backyard is secure and well maintained. When the children are not playing outdoors at the centre, they are taken to nearby neighbourhood parks. Prior to any outing Naomi clearly lays out expectations of acceptable behaviour to the children.

Naomi offers a daily meal plan consisting of a variety of nutritional foods. The daily menu is posted near the entrance so you always know what the children have eaten for that particular day.

Naomi is great with communicating the days events as well as any issues that may have arisen. During the day if time permits she will send you updates on your child’s activities via text as well as a few pictures. Naomi’s daycare closures or future plans are provided to parents with weeks or months worth of notice in advance.

We haven’t left yet, but when we do we will miss her terribly. Thank you Naomi for everything. I feel truly blessed to have found you."

"I had my two children in Ladybug daycare for a year (ages 3 and 1) and they loved it. The only reason we left was because I had a third child and went on maternity leave. Naomi is fantastic, and we all really miss her! My children were always very well cared for, had tons of fun, and always surprised me with the new things they were learning. "Our daughter has been going to Ladybug Child Care since 2014 (previously, full time and now on a drop-in basis) and Naomi is an amazing care provider. As a first time mother I was very nervous to leave my daughter in the care of a stranger, but it was quickly apparent that I had nothing to worry about. Naomi is incredibly nurturing and has a very warm and caring nature. Her program is flexible and responsive to both the child and family's needs and I am always surprised at what our daughter comes home talking about and the things she has learned. The facility is always clean and welcoming and, most importantly, the kids always seem eager to be there. "Our two children have been enrolled at Ladybug Childcare for a year and a half (toddler in full-time daycare and elemantary school child in summer camp and part time after school care). The daycare centre is impeccably clean, cheerful and well organised for children and the backyard is large, well maintained and secure. The location is a few doors down from an elementary school and it's playground and fields. Naomi is caring, intelligent and genuinely interested in early childhood development. For pre-school students she provides an active daily routine that incorporates outdoor play, reading, themed "centres", indoor play, singing, rhymes, language, alphabet, life skills etc. We have chosen to "opt in" for her meal program and both of our children enjoy the balanced hot lunches and snacks. Ladybug childcare has a newsletter and any closures are communicated well in advance. Our kids run to go into the daycare and happily babble about it when they are not there. We have had a positive experience."

"My child has nothing but wonderful memories from ladybug daycare. I know how difficult it would be to choose the right day care for your little precious and I'm glad I have found the right one. This daycare has spacious play room and nap room for the kids plus a big backyard for the little ones. The owner explain what my child did for each day and anything I need to pay attention at. This is very helpful for working mom because we might miss small details on our kids, especially we will put our kids there for half of the day. This is from my personal experience and I hope this will help any of the parents to look for a trustable daycare."
