"Coming from a culture where sending a child to daycare is not a norm, we had serious anxieties at the onset when we had to leave my youngest daughter to Sandra's care. Lo and behold, we were taken by surprise at how seamless the transition was from being cared for by her grandmother at home to staying in the daycare the whole day. Going home, in fact, has become a challenge.

Thank you Sandra and team for your patience and TLC. I'm sure my daughter will miss staying with you when she starts kindergarten this year.

"As a first time parent, having to return to full-time work after my maternity leave, the panic of finding a daycare set in. The realization that we could not rely on family to look after our child worried me. We had to find someone we had never met before, to spend more waking hours with our child and become a key part in her development at such a vital stage in her life. When we first stepped foot into Here We Grow Childcare, the facility was very well organized. The facility was newly developed, felts were sorted by colour tones, and a wide variety of toys were available development. Upon meeting with her to discuss her daycare operations, she had presented us with an array of activities, all to encourage fundamental growth such as art, calendar time, story time, singing, dancing, and healthy snacks.

Sandra Serka is an incredibly loving, caring, energetic, and patient person. We are very lucky to have her care for our child while my husband and I are at work. After sending our child to Sandra's daycare for 6 months, Sandra continues to surprise us with the variety of activities available to her. The constant mental and physical stimulation even helped wean our daughter off from her security blanket (after only 2 months, which she still sleeps with at home). Our daughter’s speech development has also significantly increased, something that can certainly be attributed to Sandra’s constant stimulation. I am impressed with the amount of language my child has developed since attending Sandra's daycare. Her nurturing personality shows as she treats every child as her own while she works hard to keep meals and rest balanced so the rest of the day is as smooth as possible when we pick her up after a long day of work. Sandra always takes the time to debrief with us, keeping a consistent record of diaper changes and nap times, and discusses an overall summary of how our daughter’s day has been.

Thank you for all you do, Sandra. We could not have been happier to be a part of your family at Here We Grow Daycare."

"To any parent looking for a daycare to stimulate, nurture and foster a well-rounded child, Sandra Serka goes well beyond at "Here We Grow Daycare". Our two and a half year old daughter has been going part time since September and will go full time with her new baby sister in the fall. My wife and I love her stories of art and friends, the walks around the neighbourhood and the new characters from the many books at story time.

It is never a problem getting my daughter into the car at 7:30 AM because she knows the excitement which awaits her; who else but Sandra has the energy and creativity to do art with two and three year olds at 8:00 AM? Likewise its not easy for my daughter or myself to leave the daycare at the end of the day. One more minute is often requested as she says goodbye to her friends, has one more slide or takes my hand to see her latest art project.

Our daughter is receiving a loving, educational and supportive experience and we look forward to our second daughter spending the next four years with Sandra and her wonderful staff. We feel so blessed to have found 'Here We Grow Daycare" for our children and fully recommend sending your child to this wonderful and magical place After all, our children are our most precious gifts and we want the best for them and Sandra and her staff provide all and more than we hoped for.

"As a busy mom who works full-time I cannot express how grateful I am to Here We Grow Childcare and the wonderful owner, Mrs. Sandra Serka. Her knowledge and expertise in early childhood education is amazing and has helped me to better understand my child’s growth and development. Her explanations and suggestions have been vital to helping my child improve his speech and vocabulary.

Here We Grow is a large facility, with lots of room/different areas for the children to play. There is a separate area for sleeping and both a bathroom and kitchen area. The place is well cared for and cleaned very well. Sandra sets high standards for herself and the childcare facility, which definitely put my mind at ease when trying to choose a daycare provider for my child. Sandra usually has a craft or two ready to go when the children arrive, as well as other toys and sensory objects available. The day is structured but there is room for adaptations due to weather, etc. as the children go out for walks in the neighbourhood or play in the spacious backyard almost every day!

While this was my first experience with a licensed daycare provider, I have been nothing short of impressed with the facility, the daily program, and the communication provided by Sandra. She even provides pictures of the kids at play and there is a lot of art hanging on my fridge courtesy of Here We Grow!

I hope that you find that Here We Grow is as a perfect fit for your child as it has been for mine."

On a daily basis, I witness Sandra Serka go above and beyond my expectations in the experience she provides at her daycare.
Sandra is loving and diligent with all the children, and her bright, cheery daycare is organized, safe and filled with laughter.
Sandra constantly stimulates the children with creative new crafting projects and moral-based stories. She balances activities with rest periods and healthy snacks, and is very involved in their physical and emotional care. Her commitment to my oldest girl, with special needs, is touching and encouraging.
I've seen Sandra discipline and teach my girls life skills with such consistency, compassion and patience, the impact has flowed into their development as stronger citizens in society; Sandra really is a blessing.
