"We've been with Sarah's Family Daycare since February 2016 when our little guy was 16 months old and he'll soon turn four and starts school this September. If we could, we would very happily keep our son with Sarah. To say that she's amazing is an understatement!

"Sarah cared for our son for 20 months beginning when he was 18 months old. We chose Sarah’s Family Daycare after sending our son to a larger daycare centre for half a year, which he found overwhelming. We decided that we wanted him to be in a home environment with a smaller number of children, more personalized care, opportunities for free play and more outdoor time. We found all of these things and more with Sarah.

"My son has been in Sarah's care for over a year. He is sensitive and required some extra support and a longer period of time to settle in. Communication facilitated by Sarah during this period was crucial for my son, and us, which ultimately led to him excited to be heading to daycare each day, and sometimes not pleased with having to come home! Sarah is dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge for the theories and practices of child care and child development, as it relates to supporting individual growth and learning in a low stress, calm, and 'flowing' structure to the day. As an added bonus, her family have become dear to my sons heart as he often shares stories of their interactions and looks forward to seeing them each day. I also thoroughly appreciate how Sarah communicates with honesty and transparency, so I am always aware of where things are at with son in all aspects of his care, from his emotional needs, to physical needs."

"Our son has been at Sarah's Family Daycare for one year. He really enjoys his time there, and we enjoy the peace of mind knowing he is in a safe, caring environment. Sarah is wonderful at helping children (and their parents) through the daycare transition. She provides all the children with the emotional support that they need. Sarah is also incredibly knowledgeable about child development. At least once a week we receive a note about how our son is doing, with information about sleeping, eating, playing, and how his behaviour relates to his stage of development. Sarah also communicates through texts and emails frequently. We are so happy with the care Sarah provides, and would highly recommend Sarah's Family Daycare."

"Sarah is an absolutely amazing daycare provider. Our own family is many hours away, and our child had no experience being watched by anyone but us when he started going to Sarah's Family Daycare. She helped us all through that transition, listened to our concerns, and found solutions that left us all comfortable. She has treated our son with care and empathy, allowing him to work through his emotions instead of distracting him. He even sometimes asks to sleep at her house when he is having a hard time napping at home! Sarah has a very strong understanding of child development from both her education and her own continued interest, and she continues to expand upon this knowledge and share what she learns with us. The emphasis she puts on child-directed imaginative play and spending lots of time outdoors exploring nature are additional reasons we loved having our son with her. We have become better parents by watching her example and by using the resources she has provided to us."

"I am a Child and Youth Worker student from Algonquin College and I have worked for Sarah in her home throughout the summer months from June until currently (until the beginning of the school year) full time. I have experienced the full daycare routine and how Sarah goes above and beyond to provide excellent care for these children. She has great knowledge of child development and provides an excellent environment for play, learning and exploration. Starting the day off with a morning walk through a nature trail allows the children to explore nature and build a connection with the outdoors. The children thrive on the routine provided and feel comfortable and happy under Sarah's care. I feel I have gotten to know the daycare well and strongly believe Sarah is an excellent child care provider. It is prominent to me that she truly loves spending time with these children and is always willing to learn more in order to support the needs of each child in her care. She is always looking for new activities or learning opportunities that the children would enjoy and benefit from. I fully recommend Sarah's Family Daycare to anybody looking for a caring, comfortable and supportive home environment for their child."
