I obtained services from this daycare centre / preschool and I find that:

"We enrolled our daughter in the full time toddler program at swelc and were not satisfied with the care provided.

The care givers did not seem committed enough or not sure if they were not paid well enough, but we found them lacking the enthusiasm to engage the kids in interesting and stimulating activities. Every day when we picked up our daughter in the evening, she seemed completely listless, absolutely lost and withdrawn, and very cranky at home.

We realised that she was not getting much attention there and hence was getting irritated and bored which resulted in her bad mood.

Also, right from the first week that we enrolled her full time, she developed a cough and a cold, which continued almost for a month and a half. Many times we also saw that no one helped her during the day to blow or clean her nose.

Our daughter is on the quieter side and may have been intimidated by the other kids or the environment, but we could see a huge change in her behaviour in the two months that she was there. Although it can be difficult to make her comfortable in a new environment, we feel that it is the care givers responsibility to engage such kids and to get them more involved and comfortable, which was not being done here.

Whenever we asked for any feedback from the daycare, according to them "she was great!!", although we could see that she was not obviously well there.

We have now enrolled her in a different day care where she gets more personal attention and we were quite surprised to see the change in her. She is much happier now and although this new daycare is much further in terms of commute, we feel that it was a very good decision for us to remove her from small world early learning centre !"
