I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"I recently needed care for my son at the last minute (his usual daycare was closed unexpectedly, due to a family emergency). I worked with Silvana 6 years ago and knew that she was planning to open a daycare - so she was my first choice.

She asked for an outline of our daily routine in advance, and confirmed that my son has no known food allergies. She asked that I bring appropriate outdoor clothing for him so they could spend some time outside.

The day went great! My son (16 months) devoured the breakfast and snacks that Silvana provided. He is picky at lunchtime in general, but Silvana had several healthy options lined up for him to try.

Napping went surprisingly well considering it was a new place. My son had both a morning and afternoon nap. Silvana let me know that my son had a bit of trouble going down in the morning and that she had done some gentle soothing which helped him get to sleep.

My son loved playing with Silvana's boys. There were lots of toys and puzzles to explore.

Silvana also sent me a few pictures throughout the day, letting me know what they were getting up to.

They went for a walk in the morning, and when I arrived in the afternoon all the kids were outside playing with various toys in the driveway. My son was having a ball! He was perfectly content and in no rush to come to me or go home. (Bonus: all that fresh air = easy bedtime and a good night's sleep!)

I would highly recommend Silvana for anyone looking for daycare. She is an active, easygoing mother who has a knack with children and provides many opportunities for fun and learning. Her home is a great layout for keeping an eye on the kids but allowing them space to play independently as well.

If I didn't already have care in Carleton Place, close to my home, my son would definitely be signed up to go to Silvana's!"
